Shoji
Shoji are the lattice frame sliding doors which are covered with translucent paper made from mulberry bark.They usually partition the interior from the exterior, and subsequently the outer bounderies of the tatami. Shoji's translucence allows diffused light to filter into the house. It also provides the observer a patterns of shadow and light. translucent paper, shojigomi, was glued to the lattice frame and fusuma shoji were invented.
